  • Sources: Nets Trade Darrell Arthur to Suns for Jared Dudley

    Brooklyn agreed to trade w/ Phoenix to acquire Jared Dudley and 2021 second-round pick for Darrell Arthur, league sources tell ESPN. Arthur ($7.4M) headed for buyout; Dudley ($9.5M) will have that conversation with Nets. Suns save some salary, Nets get a pick protected to No. 35.

  • Sources: Hawks, Thunder, 76ers Agree to Three-Team Trade

    Oklahoma City has agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony and a protected 2022 first-round pick to Atlanta for point guard Dennis Schroder and Mike Muscala, league sources tell ESPN. Anthony will be waived, and he will join team of his choice. Rockets are frontrunner.

    Sources: Muscala ($5M) is likely headed for a third team in near future. OKC GM Sam Presti and coach Billy Donovan were given permission to talk with Schroder, and they're enthusiastic about partnership. OKC wants more speed, another ball handler.

    Sources: As part of multi-team Carmelo Anthony/Dennis Schröder deal, Atlanta's Mike Muscala will go to Philadelphia, 76ers' Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot will be traded to Oklahoma City and 76ers' Justin Anderson to Atlanta.

    The Philadelphia 76ers have been rebuffed in their attempt to hire away Houston's Daryl Morey to take over as their new general manager, @NYTSports has learned

    The 76ers had great interest in Morey -- freshly voted as the league's Executive of the Year -- to replace the ousted Bryan Colangelo. But Morey couldn't be lured away from the Rockets, with whom he has spent the last 12 seasons.

    The Pistons retained wing Reggie Bullock by exercising their team option for an economical $2.5 million for next season. It was a predictable outcome for Bullock, who had a breakout season with career highs of 11.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 44.5 percent on 3-pointers — which ranked second in the NBA — last season.

  • Sources: Nets, Shabazz Napier Agree to Deal

    Free-agent guard Shabazz Napier has agreed to a two-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources told ESPN.

    The deal includes a team option on the second year, league sources said.

    Napier's pro career blossomed in the past two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he averaged a career-best 8.7 points and 20 minutes a game last year.

    Napier, 27, will join a guard rotation for the Nets that includes D'Angelo Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris.
