This potential matchup has +380 odds of occurring. Ranking second, the Golden State Warriors have high odds of reaching next season’s NBA Finals. A Nets-Warriors matchup shows +800 odds. Though, these odds mentioned above are not based on the exact outcome. The “Lakers to beat Nets” currently shows +750. Likewise, “Nets to beat Lakers” has the same odds.

If bettors want to gamble on a future Nets-Warriors 2022 NBA Finals exact outcome bet, they need to understand the odds of this happening are +1600. Now, these odds are not too discouraging, especially when compared to the “Nets to beat Nuggets” (+4000) or “Nets to beat Clippers” (+2800) exact outcome odds. As always, when placing bets, it is imperative for gamblers to place bets responsibly.

Taking risks can pay off every here and there, but the more outrageous predictions should never be considered the norm. Imagine thinking about placing a bet on the Grizzlies beating the Pistons (+900000) in the 2022 NBA Finals. While this highly-doubtful matchup and ridiculous outcome might never happen, imagine the payout if it ever did. Prior to making wagers, know your limitations.

Los Angeles Lakers

In the Lakers’ offseason, on August 3, 2021, the team signed 37-year-old forward Carmelo Anthony to a one-year deal. Three days later, the Lakers traded Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell to the Washington Wizards for Russell Westbrook and three future second-round draft picks. On the same day, the organization signed Dwight Howard, Kendrick Nunn, Malik Monk, Trevor Ariza and Wayne Ellington. Plus, the team re-signed Talen Horton-Tucker.

On August 31st, after being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies, the Lakers signed Rajon Rondo. Not to mention, center DeAndre Jordan is expected to be waived by the Pistons soon; his contract was bought out by the team. So, the Lakers are interested in signing him. Moreover, the team is about to have eight career All-Stars on their roster. Both Howard and Rondo helped contribute during the Lakers’ 2019-20 championship season. This is all why they are the selected favorites to win the Western Conference.

Brooklyn Nets

As for the Nets, the organization’s Big Three remains intact; Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Kevin Durant are all capable of carrying this team back to the finals, helping them get there for the first time since the 2002-03 NBA season. In the 2003 Finals, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Nets in Game 6. Anyways, on August 5th, Brooklyn signed Cam Thomas.

A day later, they signed Jevon Carter and James Johnson. Then, Blake Griffin was re-signed to the roster and Patty Mills was later signed. Last week, it was first reported that 36-year-old LaMarcus Aldridge was medically cleared to return playing.

The guard retired abruptly on April 15th after experiencing irregular heartbeats. However, Aldridge too has been re-signed by the organization. This past Friday, DeAndre Jordan was traded by the Nets to the Pistons for four second-round draft picks, Sekou Doumbouya and Jahlil Okafor. Therefore, this all makes sense why the Nets are projected to make it out of the Eastern Conference.
