Thanasis Antetokounmpo, the older brother of two-time MVP Giannis, has agreed to a new two-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Both brothers won their first NBA championship together against the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 NBA Finals. In the 2020-21 NBA season, in 57 games played, the small forward averaged nearly three points and 2.2 assists per game. He had a field goal shooting percentage of 48.9 percent and an average of 24 percent from three-point range. From 2011 to 2013, Antetokounmpo played for the EFAO Zografou B.C., which is a professional basketball club in Athens, Greece.
On November 1, 2013, the six-foot-three power forward was selected ninth overall by the Delaware 87ers in the 2013 NBA Development League Draft (now known as G League). From 2013 to 2015, he spent his time playing ball in the NBA D-League. From 2016 to 2019, he played overseas professionally for Spain and Greece. While playing basketball in Greece basketball, he became a two-time Greek Basketball League champion, two-time Greek League All-Star, two-time Greek League All-Star Game MVP, two-time Greek League Most Spectacular Player, and a Greek cup winner.

Furthermore, with the 51st overall pick, the New York Knicks drafted Antetokounmpo in the 2014 NBA Draft. In 2014, he was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Third-Team in the NBA D-League. Then, in the following year, he was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second-Team in the 2015 NBA Summer League.
On February 5, 2020, he was recalled from the Wisconsin Herd of the G League. The 2020-21 season was only his third season in the NBA. The 29-year-old earned $1,701,593 last season with the Bucks. In the 2021 first-round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets, he played for a total of 24 minutes, averaging 3.5 minutes played per game.
