There are two games on tap tonight in the NBA:

– New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets
– Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Clippers

Here are some important things to keep in mind as you pick your roster for tonight’s games:

• The Nets have not secured their playoff seeding yet. They could either be matched up against the Chicago Bulls or Toronto Raptors in the first round. Either way, they’re trying to go in the postseason on a high note and this game means a lot more to them than the Knicks, who are already eliminated from postseason contention. The Nets have been getting inspired play from Mirza Teletovic and Mason Plumlee. With Carmelo Anthony likely out, those two look to be strong plays. Knicks center Cole Aldrich is coming off of one of his best games as a pro and could also benefit from Anthony’s absence.

• Like the Knicks, the Nuggets are only playing for pride right now but they are winners of three straight. Kenneth Faried has been playing like a man possessed as of late, certainly well enough to warrant his high price tag, but he’s going to have a stiff challenge on his hands against Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan tonight. A win gives the Clippers their best record in franchise history and they’re still alive in the hunt for the second seed, so don’t expect Doc Rivers to take this game lightly. The Nuggets’ backcourt are good picks, as are any of the Clippers’ big three.
