After releasing the Top 120 overall players last week, we began breaking down the top performers at each individual position.

First we rolled out the top 60 guards, followed by the top 60 forwards.

Today we’ll wrap it up by posting the top 40 centers for the 2015-16 fantasy season.

Please note: These rankings are based on nine-category rotisserie scoring leagues that account for points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, three-pointers made, turnovers, field goal percentage and free throw percentage.

Also, the position eligibility is based on Yahoo! fantasy leagues. Players may qualify at multiple positions (i.e. forward and center).

In addition, listed below the rankings, are an assortment of interesting and pertinent stats for some of the players listed.

* Anthony Davis will be the first overall pick in nearly every fantasy draft this month. And he’ll likely be the #1 overall pick for the majority of the next decade. Last season, AD became the first and only player in NBA history to tally 200 blocks & 100 steals while also shooting > 80% on FT’s in the same season. As if Davis didn’t already bring enough to the table, it seems as though he is serious about adding a three-point shot to his repertoire. Davis didn’t make a single triple in his first three seasons in the NBA. However, this preseason, Davis made seven threes on 13 attempts (53.8 percent)

* Rudy Gobert started 37 games last season, and in those 37 starts, he averaged 10.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks.

* Nikola Vucevic is one of only three players to average a double-double each of the last three seasons. Zach Randolph is the other.

* DeAndre Jordan has steadily improved year-to-year, and has firmly established himself as one of the NBA’s best big men. He finished the 2014-15 campaign averaging 11.5 points, a whopping 15.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks, while shooting a mind-boggling 71.0 percent from the floor. He joined Wilt Chamberlain as just the second player in NBA history to average at least 15 rebounds per game and shoot over 70 percent from the field.

* While Tim Duncan hasn’t yet beaten the undefeated Father Time, Timmy D has somehow managed to play him to a standstill.

* Karl-Anthony Towns knocked down 127 three-pointers during his high school career and shot 51.6 percent from behind-the-arc during his senior season.

* Kanter remains a bit of a mystery. He’s been in the league for four years, but just turned 23 and has never averaged more than 27 minutes per game in any season. He got a chance to play heavy minutes down the stretch in Oklahoma City last season and made the most of his opportunity, averaging 18.7 ppg and 11 rebounds. It’s safe to assume those numbers will dip with a healthy Kevin Durant back in the mix.
