Clarkson Exits Game With Shoulder Injury; MRI Friday
Los Angeles Lakers starting guard Jordan Clarkson suffered a shoulder injury during his team’s 136-97 preseason loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, placing his status for next week’s regular-season opener in question. Clarkson left in the first half of Thursday’s preseason finale at the Honda Center with what the team later called a sprained right shoulder, though the promising second-year guard is scheduled to receive an MRI on Friday.
“It was like a really sharp pain,” said Clarkson, who added that he didn’t know exactly when or how the injury occurred. “I think it’s minor, but I guess we’ll see [Friday].”
