Kerr Sees Maturity, Leadership Growth in Draymond Green
Starting in training camp, (Steve) Kerr has noticed (Draymond) Green try to better channel his competitiveness. The emotional outbursts that punctuated last season have dwindled. Though still his fiery self, Green has learned that not everyone responds well to his bravado. It is common these days for him to pull aside teammates for quick pep talks.
“He’s really backed up what he said he was going to do this summer, which was mature and grow as a leader,” Kerr said. “I think his teammates are very respectful of those subtle changes he’s made.”
