Matthews in Favor of Joining 3-Pt Contest
He already has his travel reservations booked for a trip to Madison, Wis., during All-Star Weekend. But if the phone rings, and the NBA calls, Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews would gladly rearrange his plans if an invitation to the Three-Point Contest arrives.
“Honestly, I don’t care, but it would be cool to be a part of it for Portland,” Matthews said. “I know that the fans, they really want me to be a part of it. They feel like I deserve to be there. And it would be cool to represent them. But as far as me, I’m fine. I’m been out of the limelight my whole career. So not being invited to be in the All-Star weekend, it’s nothing that I’m going to be upset about.”
