HEAT’s Birdman Focused on Perimeter Shooting
(Said Chris Andersen:) “”I was told a long time ago, even though I’m called Birdman, you can’t jump forever,” Andersen said Wednesday. “Like [Shaquille O’Neal] says, you have a certain amount of jumps in your career.”
Translation: he wants more scoring opportunities with less wear on the body.
“To step out and have that confidence to shoot the 15-footer, a lot of people haven’t seen it or don’t expect it,” Andersen said. “This year, [coach Erik Spoelstra] says he’s going to implement it into the game plan.”
