The following is a medical update on Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors:
Derrick Favors was examined Wednesday and underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) testing, which confirmed a bone contusion on his left knee. He will continue to receive treatment, and in order to allow the injury proper time to heal, will not play Thursday vs. Chicago and his status will continue to be reevaluated moving forward. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
