LeBron James has reportedly narrowed his free agency decisions down to Cleveland and Miami. While there are plenty of reports starting to surface leaning toward James heading back to the Cavaliers there seems to be a potential issue with this scenario.

According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, James is still irked by the scathing letter Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert distributed back in 2010 when the four-time MVP decided to take his talents to South Beach.

In the letter Gilbert referred to James as a “coward” amid other comments questioning the forward’s character and heart. The letter remained on the official Cavaliers website up until this week when it was removed.

According to the report, James would have already committed to returning to Cleveland if he still wasn’t bothered by Gilbert’s response to his free agent decision in 2010.

James led Miami to four straight Finals appearances, winning two championships since leaving the Cavaliers. He chose to opt of his contract at the end of the season in order to evaluate his options in free agency.
