Provided both teams honor a “handshake agreement,” the Timberwolves will send Kevin Love to the Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, according to a report.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said in a radio interview on the Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco show (ESPN New York) that the two teams have agreed on a trade, but they can’t pull the trigger because of an NBA rule. The league prohibits trades within 30 days of a rookie signing his contract.

Windhorst gave himself plenty of outs, but said that a Love-for-Wiggins swap is done, and that the Wolves could also end up with Thad Young from the 76ers in the process or in a separate trade.
