The Miami HEAT will call up Tyler Johnson from their NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, sources confirm.

Johnson is expected to sign his second 10-day contract in time before the team’s next game on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.

The move could have been made to address depth concerns after Dwyane Wade left Tuesday night’s game early with a hamstring injury against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The team previously signed Johnson to a 10-day contract on Jan. 12. Johnson logged just two minutes of game time in his only appearance with the team on Jan. 14 against the Golden State Warriors.

In 15 games for the Skyforce this season, Johnson was averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

The news was first reported by Shams Charania of Real GM.
