Guard Paris Burns and forward Ahman Fells each scored 12 points as Illinois-Chicago snapped a four-game losing streak with a 79-38 nonconference victory over Judson on Tuesday at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.

The Flames (4-11) also got 10 points from forward Jason McClellan in the first-ever meeting the Eagles.

Guard Andrew Eck and forward Drew Makiewicz each scored seven points for Judson, an NAIA program that competes in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles (2-13) entered the game with a two-game winning streak after starting the season with 12 consecutive losses.

Illinois-Chicago opened with eight unanswered points and never trailed. The Flames made it 30-10 on forward Jake Wiegand’s layup on the way to a 45-14 halftime advantage. The lead hit 42 points at 75-33 on guard Gabe Snider’s 3-pointer with 6:29 to play.

Judson shot just 29.2 percent (14 of 28) from the field while Illinois-Chicago made 48.4 percent (31 of 64).

Both teams resume play Friday. The Flames host Youngstown State, while the Eagles meet Indiana-Northwest at the Purdue-Calumet tournament.
