Injured Mills Likely to Re-Sign With Spurs

Patty Mills will undergo shoulder surgery, which will take seven months to rehab from. He could miss as many as four months of the 2014-15 NBA season. This could certainly affect his free agency stock. Marc Stein of ESPN reports that he’ll likely re-sign with the San Antonio Spurs and rehab.

“Strong likelihood, I’m told, is Patty Mills re-signing w/San Antonio & taking ’til January to recover,” Stein tweeted. “Firmer diagnosis to come post-surgery. Spurs & Mills, I’m told, already talking new deal … but injury bound to shrink what might’ve been promising market for flammable shooter”
