As if things were not bad enough for the Denver Nuggets, starting point guard Ty Lawson, whose name has been kicked around in trade rumors, was a no-show for practice today.
Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw told Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post that he had no idea where Lawson was and that his absence was unexcused and unexplained.
The Nuggets have been in the middle of the trade market for several weeks with teams trying to engage them in trades for guards Arron Afflalo and Wilson Chandler.
The Nuggets have also been trying to find a home for JaVale McGee and his contract and have been sniffing at big changes for themselves being at the Brooklyn Nets for the likes Brook Lopez.
The Nuggets were expected to be a player at the deadline. This new Lawson wrinkle only adds more fuel to the proverbial fire.
