(New York Knicks) J.R. Smith and his teammates never expected to be entering Christmas Day with a pathetic 5-25 record, and he hopes he can suit up on Thursday to help trigger a turnaround.
“I mean, it’s a nightmare, we just gotta wake up from it,” Smith said 48 hours before the Knicks face John Wall and the Washington Wizards on national TV on Christmas. “Hopefully try to figure it out, turn it around, whatever it takes. We’re losing by such a small margin we gotta figure out how to win those games.”
