Jarrett Jack Shocked by Mark Jackson Firing

In the meantime, the veteran guard (Jarrett Jack) is waiting to see who the team will hire as coach. He said he was shocked to learn of Mike Brown’s dismissal. He was equally shocked to see Golden State fire Mark Jackson, whom he played for two years ago.
“I was really shocked by Coach Jackson being fired,” Jack said. “In anything that you do, you want to be judged based on your performance. His performance spoke for itself. You saw a lot of guys grow under his tutelage — Steph [Curry], Klay Thompson, David Lee — and then collectively he got that franchise and that team into a place they haven’t been in a very, very long time — the playoffs — and being a team that people really had to take seriously.
“I just didn’t understand the move that was made. I think he’ll do great anywhere he lands, and anybody will definitely be happy and privileged to have him.”
