The Utah Jazz have retained Gordon Hayward after matching the Charlotte Hornets’ four-year, $63 million offer sheet to the restricted free agent.

Mark Bartelstein, Hayward’s agent, told ESPN.com’s Marc Stein that the Jazz made “a great statement” to his client by matching the Hornets’ offer.
