Kawhi Leonard Has Career Night Against Memphis

In a cramped corner of the visitor’s locker room, San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard stared for a few minutes at a copy of the official box score. Perhaps even the low-key Leonard was amazed.

In leading San Antonio’s 103-83 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night, Leonard wrecked the home team by nailing a career-best 7-of-9 from 3-point range, including 6-of-7 in the second half to score a game-high 27 points. Leonard’s 27 points, which is the second-best output of his career, marked the sixth time in seven outings he has scored at least 20 points.
