Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart returned from an 18-game absence during Sunday’s 100-91 win over the New York Knicks, turning in 13 rust-shedding minutes in a reserve role.

Smart, sidelined since Nov. 20 because of a knee injury, finished with six points on 2-of-6 shooting with three rebounds and an assist.
