Donald Sterling wasn’t the only target of NBA discipline on Tuesday.

The league handed a one-game suspension to Dallas Mavericks forward/center DeJuan Blair for kicking San Antonio Spurs center Tiago Splitter in the head Monday.

The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter of the Spurs’ 93-89 win over the Mavericks that evened the best-of-seven, first-round Western Conference playoff series at two games apiece.

As Splitter made an offensive move at the foul line, he knocked down Blair, who was defending him, and Splitter fell to the floor, too. Blair lashed out with his left foot, catching Splitter in the face. The officiating crew ejected Blair from the game.

Blair will miss Game 5 of the series, Wednesday in San Antonio.

Through the series’ first four games, Blair is averaging 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, but he came through with 12 points and 11 rebounds in just 16 minutes Monday before his ejection.

In the regular season, Blair averaged 6.4 points and 4.7 rebounds.
