The Miami HEAT and free agent forward James Johnson have agreed to a four-year, $60 million deal, league sources told Basketball Insiders.

The fourth year of the deal contains a player option, league sources told Basketball Insiders.

Johnson averaged a career-high 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 27.4 minutes per game with Miami last season. Johnson also shot a career-best 34 percent from beyond the arc.

Johnson, along with Tyler Johnson, anchored the bench unit for Miami. Johnson is regarded as a versatile forward around the league.

Miami still has several free agency decisions to make. Willie Reed and Luke Babbitt are unrestricted free agents on the market. In addition, the team also has to make a decision whether or not to guarantee Wayne Ellington’s $6.3 million salary by July 7.
