Free agent target Greg Monroe has never met Phil Jackson but says he’s willing to sit down with the Knicks’ president in July when they are expected to be among the teams pursuing him on the open market.
Daily News basketball columnist Frank Isola quoted an NBA executive last week describing the possibility of the Detroit big man coming to the Knicks as “about as close to a done deal as you can get.”
“If they’re interested, I’m going to (listen),” Monroe said Wednesday before his Pistons handed the Knicks a season-ending 112-90 loss at the Garden
