On another subject, in the Hawks’ 132-126 home loss versus the Rockets on Monday, guard Trae Young closed out his performance with his NBA-leading 12th consecutive game with at least 30 points scored of the 2021-22 regular season. The third year player currently has 74 career outing with a minimum of 30 points in each individual game, tying him with Stephen Curry for sixth-most since the 2018-19 season. Young is averaging 27 points, 4.1 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game this season.

As for the Magic, on Sunday, in their 106-94 road loss against the Lakers, guard Cole Anthony led his team in scoring, accumulating 21 points in 35 minutes played. Forward Franz Wagner ended his performance with 20 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 39 minutes contributed. In the third quarter, the Lakers outscored the Magic 36 to 10. Los Angeles has been struggling, but Orlando is clearly much worse.

Upon further review of the box-score game statistics, the Lakers outscored the Magic 50 to 36 in the paint. The only shining light in this loss was the team’s 32-point fourth quarter effort. Though, some of those points were scored during garbage time. After another road loss, Orlando is now 3-15 away, 2-8 at home and 3-7 ATS at home this season. Their losing streak was extended to five games.
