NBA roundup: Bulls cruise past Spurs

CHICAGO — Guard Derrick Rose scored a game-high 22 points, and the Chicago Bulls cruised to a 104-81 win against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Forward Jimmy Butler added 17 points for the Bulls (28-16), who won for only the third time in their past nine games. Forward Pau Gasol tallied 12 points and 17 rebounds for his 25th double-double of the season.

Forward Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs (27-17) with 16 points, all of which came in the first half, and guard Patty Mills added 12 points off the bench.

Chicago improved to 10-6 against teams from the Western Conference.

Jazz 101, Bucks 99

MILWAUKEE — Gordon Hayward contributed 13 points, two assists and a steal in the fourth quarter, and Utah held off a late rally by Milwaukee at the Bradley Center.

Hayward topped the Jazz with 24 points. Center Enes Kanter scored 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Shooting guard Dante Exum contributed 15 points and center Rudy Gobert added 14 points and 10 boards.

Point guard Brandon Knight and guard Jared Dudley led Milwaukee with 16 points apiece. Knight also had five assists. Antetokounmpo finished with 13 points and five steals.
