The Nets understandably had high praise for Durant, the hottest player in the NBA averaging 37 points in January on 54 percent shooting.

“He’s George Gervin and Dirk all mixed into one,” (Nets’ head coach Jason) Kidd said. “He’s 7-feet so he can put the ball on the floor. He’s shown that he can rebound and pass, so he’s the total package.”
