Notre Dame junior forward Zach Auguste was cleared to play in Saturday’s game against Miami in South Bend, Ind.

The 6-foot-10 Auguste missed Wednesday’s win over Georgia Tech after being ruled under academic suspension by the school — not the basketball program.

On Saturday morning, the school announced he was cleared to play, effective immediately.

Auguste has averaged 14.3 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 65.3 percent from the field in 17 games this season for the No. 12 Fighting Irish (16-2).
