Payne Cuts Nuggets’ Workout Short Amid Wrist Injury
His visit to the Pepsi Center ended sooner than Murray State point guard Cameron Payne would have liked, and for the worst reason — an injury.
Payne’s predraft workout with the Nuggets on Monday morning was cut short near the end when he suffered a bruised right hand. Payne left the arena to get X-rays. Before the injury, he was able to display his talents for about an hour along with four other players, including Kentucky product Trey Lyles.
