Pelicans’ Tyreke Evans Undergoes MRI on Knee

Tyreke Evans was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam on his left knee Saturday after banging knees with Golden State’s Andre Iguodala and suffering a contusion that knocked him out of Game 1 of the team’s first-round series.
After the game, without yet knowing the full extent of the injury, Evans said he “felt a little pop, felt a little snap” in the knee in the wake of the first-half collision with Iguodala.
“I never felt nothing like that before,” Evans told ESPN.com of the sharp pain.
