Rajon Rondo Day-to-Day with Sprained Wrist
Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo sat out Thursday night’s 102-90 win against the Philadelphia 76ers because of a sprained right wrist. Rondo, who injured the wrist in Tuesday’s loss to the New York Knicks, had an MRI on Wednesday that confirmed the sprain. He did not participate in Thursday’s shootaround and it is unclear when he will be able to return.
“It’s a ligament that’s kind of not in the right place right now,” Rondo said of his diagnosis. “It’s causing [the wrist] to pop a little bit. … It hurts. It’s painful. It’s my dominant hand, so [I’ll] just take it a day at a time.” Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said that for the time being, Rondo is considered day-to-day.
