Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri used profanity directed at the Brooklyn Nets while addressing fans outside Air Canada Centre, saying ‘F–K Brooklyn!’
before Saturday’s playoff opener.

Ujiri later apologized for the outburst he made in front of several hundred Raptors fans gathered outside the arena for a pregame party and to watch the game on a huge screen above the west entrance.

The NBA’s reigning executive of the year apologized during a halftime press conference, saying he was “just trying to get our fans going.”

When Ujiri was asked how he felt about the Nets and accusations that they tanked their last few games of the season to play the Raptors instead of the Chicago Bulls, he said: “You know how I feel. I don’t like them, but I apologize.”
