Only a small number of NBA teams have had as challenging an early schedule as the Toronto Raptors.

Yet, instead of complaining or getting angry about their lot, the Raptors are embracing the positives, figuring they will benefit from this in the long-run.

(Said DeMarre Carrol:) “It’s great for us. A lot of people say it’s kind of messed up, but I look at it as a great opportunity. We can see where we are at as a ball club.”

All-star guard DeMar DeRozan sees things in a similar way.
