Standout guard Jordan Adams plans to remain at UCLA for his junior season, multiple reports indicated Thursday.
The 6-foot-4 guard decided not to join former UCLA teammates Kyle Anderson and Zach Lavine in entering the NBA Draft, according to CBSSports.com and other news outlets.
As a sophomore this past season, Jordan averaged 17.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.6 rebounds per game.
Adams will be one of the top returnees next season for the Bruins, who welcome a strong recruiting class and are expected to compete for the Pac-12 title in coach Steve Alford’s second season.
Adams was one of most talented underclassmen left to announce their intentions for next season. Among those yet to say whether they will leave for the NBA are Kentucky’s Andrew and Aaron Harrison and Michigan’s Mitch McGary.
It also was reported Thursday that New Mexico State 7-5 center Sim Bhullar decided to declare himself eligible for the NBA Draft.
Bhullar averaged 10.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.4 blocked shots per game for the Aggies this season. The 360-pound behemoth was named the Most Outstanding Player in the Western Athletic Conference tournament.
