Report: Vogel to return as Pacers coach

The Indiana Pacers plan to bring back head coach Frank Vogel next season, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Pacers went 56-26 in the regular season and reached the Eastern Conference finals as the No. 1 seed. However, they were eliminated Friday by the Miami Heat for the third straight year and second consecutive time from the conference finals.

Vogel is 167-100 in four seasons as the Pacers’ coach.

There was earlier speculation that team president Larry Bird might replace Vogel with former Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson.
