Rockets Waive Josh Powell; Howard ‘Speechless’
As the Houston Rockets move toward finalizing their roster for the regular season, the team waived veteran forward Josh Powell.
Powell, who did not play in the NBA the last two seasons, signed as a free agent with the Rockets in April and became close friends with Dwight Howard.
“He was speechless,” Powell said in an interview with FOX26 Sports when referring to Howard’s thoughts when he got the news. “He didn’t really have too much to say to be honest.”
