Should Knicks Keep J.R. Smith in Starting Lineup?
This is not a team rolling in offense. J.R. Smith started for the first time this season on Sunday and the Knicks won for only the third time, beating the Nuggets, 109-93 at the Garden.
J.R. supplies more offense. It’s really that simple. When Iman Shumpert is healthy again, let him come off the bench.
As for starting with (Carmelo) Anthony, Smith said it creates problems for opponents, “especially when we are on the same side and guys really have to pick their poison, whether they are going to give me the cut to the basket or to stick with him and that is huge for us.’’
