The Memphis Grizzlies are in serious discussions to sign D-League Iowa Energy forward Tyrus Thomas to a 10-day contract, a league source told Yahoo Sports late Monday night.

Thomas, who is attempting to return to the NBA after nearly two years, worked out for the Grizzlies prior to signing with Iowa last week.
