Spurs Win Las Vegas Summer League Championship

The San Antonio Spurs overcame a 10-point first-half deficit en route to winning the first Samsung NBA Summer League 2015 Championship game Monday evening. The Spurs knocked off the Phoenix Suns by a final score of 93-90 in the finale of the 11-day, 67-game tournament in Las Vegas.
Becky Hammon, the first woman to serve as a full-time NBA assistant after Spurs’ head coach Gregg Popovich added her to his staff for the 2014-15 season, guided the squad to six straight victories after suffering a tournament-opening loss to the New York Knicks way back on July 10.
