Steve Kerr on New Schedule: ‘They really listened to us’

Steve Kerr is feeling much more positive about his team’s regular-season schedule than he was a year ago.
The Golden State Warriors bench boss praised the league after seeing the 2017-18 slate, saying commissioner Adam Silver worked hard to ensure players will receive ample rest this season.
“I have zero complaints about our schedule and I think it’s really a tribute to the work that Adam and the league do with the players and the union to try to work together to put together the best possible product for our fans,” Kerr told 95.7 The Game’s Damon Bruce. “Everything just checks out.
Kerr’s comments were in stark contrast to his views from last season, when he referred to the Warriors’ schedule as “insane,” and said it forced him to rest several key players to avoid injury.
“That’s the beauty of this schedule, is that the league and Adam Silver, they really listened to us,” Kerr said this time around. “They listened to our thoughts and our concerns and our complaints. Obviously adding a week to the calendar of the season helped quite a bit.”
