Forward Tre Drye led a balanced attack with a game-high 18 points Wednesday night, and Tulane claimed an 83-70 nonconference victory over host Loyola (Chicago) at Gentile Arena in Chicago.

The win was the sixth straight for the Green Wave (6-1), while the Ramblers (4-2) absorbed their first home loss after two victories.

Loyola guard Milton Doyle scored 15 points, guard Donte Ingram had 14, and forward Christian Thomas added 13. Tulane guard Jay Hook collected 15 points, while forward Payton Henson and guard Jonathan Stark added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Tulane never trailed as Hook’s five early points helped his team to a 9-2 edge on the way to a 34-24 halftime lead. The Green Wave led by as many as 17 points in the second half, and Loyola never got closer than 10.

Tulane shot 28-for-53 (52.8 percent) and outrebounded the Ramblers 37-22. Loyola finished 25-for-52 (48.1 percent) from the field.

The Green Wave hold a 3-0 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to 1947.

Tulane returns home to play Mississippi State on Saturday, while Loyola travels to Illinois-Chicago on Saturday.
