Report: 2019 NBA Award Finalists Announced

The NBA today announced the finalists for six awards that honor top performers from the 2018-19 regular season: Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Most Improved Player and NBA Coach of the Year.

Report: Anthony Davis to Undergo MRI on Sprained Thumb

Anthony Davis sprained his right thumb in the first half of the Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday and did not return to the game.

Davis is scheduled for an MRI Monday. Because the team did not arrive back in Los Angeles until 4 a.m. on Sunday, the team decided to wait another day for further tests on Davis’ thumb.
