The Minnesota Timberwolves and Ricky Rubio have reached agreement on a four-year contract extension, multiple media outlets reported Friday.

Yahoo Sports reports the deal is worth more than $55 million, and the Minneapolis Star Tribiune reports that the extension is worth $56 million, including $1 million of incentives.

Rubio is the Timberwolves starting point guard, and although he not much of a shooter, he is an outstanding passer.

Rubio, 24, averaged 9.5 points, 8.6 assists and 2.3 steals last season, and he averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 assists and 1.0 steals in Minnesota’s first two games this season.
