One day after expressing discontent with the Philadelphia 76ers over being kept off the floor, second-year forward Arnett Moultrie was assigned to the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League on Tuesday.

Moultrie underwent left ankle surgery in September and was sidelined through late December, but he has yet to appear in a game since returning to practice prior to the new year.

The 76ers wrote in a press release, “Moultrie will receive additional on-court time at game speed with the Sevens as a step in his return to the Sixers.”

On Monday, Moultrie complained to the Delaware County Daily Times about his lack of playing time.

“It’s not my ankle. It’s not my conditioning,” Moultrie told the newspaper. “But at this point, I really don’t care. I’m just sick of all the excuses. If it ain’t one thing, it’s another thing.”

Moultrie shot 58.2 percent in 47 games last season as a rookie. He was a first-round draft pick (No. 27 overall) in 2012 out of Mississippi State by the Miami Heat. Miami then traded his rights to Philadelphia.

The 76ers made another transaction Tuesday, sending guard Lorenzo Brown to the 87ers for the sixth time this season.

In 19 games with Philadelphia, Brown averaged 2.9 points, 1.8 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 9.5 minutes. He previously played in 11 games for Delaware, compiling averages of 19 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
