Sixers to Hire Mike D’Antoni as Associate Head Coach?

New Philadelphia 76ers chairman Jerry Colangelo is beginning to impose his influence on the franchise, engaging Mike D’Antoni in talks to join Brett Brown’s staff as associate head coach, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

D’Antoni, a four-time head coach in the NBA, has been discussing with Colangelo and Brown a role on the Sixers’ bench that could begin later this month, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Phoenix Suns are signing Jimmer Fredette through the rest of the season with a team option for 2019-20, per 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.

The 30-year-old Fredette recently played for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association. On Tuesday, the Sharks were eliminated from the postseason. Fredette averaged 36.9 points per game for Shanghai.
