The New York Knicks and team president Phil Jackson are parting ways early Wednesday morning, sources told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne and the team confirmed on Wednesday.
Conversations between Jackson and Knicks owner James Dolan accelerated this week when the Knicks decided they would not buy out embattled forward Carmelo Anthony, sources said.
Per The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Dolan is targeting Toronto’s Masai Ujiri to replace Jackson.
