Sources: Malik Beasley, Nuggets Discussing Extension
The Denver Nuggets are in talks with backup shooting guard Malik Beasley and his representatives about a contract extension with the Oct. 21 early extension deadline looming, according to a league source.
The Nuggets have less than two weeks to reach an extension with the fourth-year shooting guard or risk losing him in restricted free agency next summer. The same goes for Juancho Hernangomez, who is also in the Nuggets’ long-term plans.
Beasley turned down a 3-year, $30 million deal, according to a report from ESPN. A source confirmed an offer was made in that range.
