The Oklahoma City Thunder potentially have a major decision to make with Russell Westbrook after the departure of Kevin Durant.
One option the team is considering is attempting to renegotiate and extend the contract of Westbrook before he can become a free agent after next season, sources told ESPN.

Cavs Announce Signing of LeBron to New Deal

LeBron James and the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers made it official Friday, with the team announcing that James has signed a new multiyear contract.
The deal is for three years, $100 million, agent Rich Paul told ESPN. A source told ESPN that James has a player option for the third year.

Sources: Pacers Agree to Deal With Free-Agent Poythress

University of Kentucky free-agent forward Alex Poythress has agreed to a partially guaranteed contract with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told The Vertical.
For Poythress, 22, who went undrafted in June, this is essentially a make-good training camp deal – with an eye toward spending the year as a non-roster Pacers player on the franchise’s Fort Wayne NBA Development League affiliate.

Pelicans Announce Signing of Shawn Dawson

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed forward Shawn Dawson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dawson, 6-6, 195, has played professionally since 2012 with Israel’s Maccabi Rishon LeZion and is a two-time Israeli League All-Star (2015, 2016) who holds career international averages of 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals in 22.2 minutes per contest.
