Suns Fail to Sign Contract Extension on Alex Len
As most teams did with 2013 first-rounders, the Suns explored the idea of an extension but ultimately did not sign (Alex) Len to one. That allows Len to become a restricted free agent in July but the Suns maintain control of his future. They either can match another team’s offer sheet for him or exclusively negotiate a five-year contract rather than the four-year deals other team will be able to offer him.
