An itchy trigger finger has to be tempting Stan Van Gundy by now, if for no other reason than the Detroit Pistons coach has tried just about everything to juice up his unproductive second unit except jumbling his starting lineup.
Historically, he has done that by now.
This year, Van Gundy not only has set a personal high-water mark by using the same starting lineup for the first 14 games of an NBA season, he also enters tonight’s home game against the Miami Heat as the only coach to start the same lineup all season.
